Best Free RPG Games

Well, the last post talked about the best Pay-to-Play RPG games and I guess that most of my readers here would really like something free so here it goes: the best free RPG Games in the planet. Of course, as always, data is still stolen from Gameogre.com (you can visit their site here: http://www.gameogre.com/).

I swear that this is the last time that I'll be stealing top games from their site. I can't really help it since it is such a very good site and while I'm Googling for some best free RPG games, their site just pops out like a mushroom. Maybe it's fate. :P

Anyway, here it goes. Unlike the p2p games in the last post, I actually played some of these best free RPG games. That's how cheap I am so there. 'Nuff said.

I'm ranting too much on this. Let's just start.

  1. Guild Wars - Umm... Well, this one is actually paid but just for once. This just means that you pay for the software once, but the service is actually free. Clearly the best free RPG game. Graphics are superb and gameplay is nice.
  2. Rappelz - Gameogre.com states that it is actually the best looking freebie. I tried getting this once but the game can't run on my crappy computer.
  3. Runescape - Crappy graphics but is now one of the most populated MMORPGs. Some of the people who played this claim that the game has infinite paths to character development to choose from. You gotta just check it out to see.
  4. Maple Story - Cute 2D characters make up this contender for best free RPG games. The action is side-scrolling and it's quite cool aside from the occasional kill-steal on over-populated maps (can't help it if it's side-scrolling right?).
  5. Sword of the New World - This is also known as Granado Espada in our country. Developed by the Ragnarok Online designer Hakkyu Kim, I've been waiting for this for months. You control 3 characters, the graphics are nice, and it's very cool too! Definitely one that I'll be playing once I upgrade my crappy computer.
  6. Flyff - The cute characters are flying! Flyff is actually an acronym for Fly For Fun. Flying is a mandatory skill to learn. The quests are good and the world is nice.
  7. Supreme Destiny - I don't know this one, but Gameogre.com says that this actually has very good 3D graphics. Gotta try this one later.
  8. Dungeon Runners - Quick quest completions. Play and run is the supposedly theme of this one.
  9. Shadowbane - One of the best PvP system of the best free RPG games.
  10. Albatross 18 - It's golf! Golf and play... err... Play golf and play... eh? Anyway, this one has a sports theme and the characters are cute. There!
There you have it, the Best Free RPG Games in the world. Unlike the P2P games you had seen from the last post, these ones you may check out for free - that is if your computer is not half as crappy as mine. :)

Happy playing! Check out this blog for more RPG news and anything-under-the-sun RPG in the next few days.
